NEW YORKERS FOR GROWTH ENDORSES ROB ASTORINO FOR WESTCHESTER COUNTY EXECUTIVE

 

New York, NY-June 3...New Yorkers for Growth, a leading voice for responsible fiscal policy in New York State, today announced that it has endorsed Rob Astorino for Westchester County Executive. The endorsement, which was made at a news conference on Tuesday night in Rye, is New Yorkers for Growth's first of the 2009 election season.

"Westchester County families are bearing the highest tax burden in America, and Rob Astorino will turn things around with smarter, streamlined government, " said New Yorkers for Growth board member, Larchmont Mayor Liz Feld. "Today's taxes are the direct result of irresponsible fiscal policy at the county, state and federal level, and Mr. Astorino has the strength and energy to challenge those who drive our taxes ever-higher at every level of government. It is critical that Westchester residents have a County Executive who will advocate for us, not just here in Westchester, but in Albany and Washington as well. Rob Astorino is that candidate, and New Yorkers for Growth is proud to make him its first endorsement of 2009."
